Quality Drinks Awards 2017 Winners

The Quality Drink Awards were crowning their winners last night at an exclusive drinks reception held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London. It was with great anticipation that Production Manager, Laura Betts and Sales Manager Donna Howells set off from their Herefordshire base to attend. All of the industries finest would be gathered for these prestigious Awards where they  would be celebrating and rewarding excellence in wine, spirit and beer. The awards cast a spotlight on products that offer fine ingredients and great taste with beautiful packaging.

The whole White Heron team were already honored to be shortlisted along with 9 other top Liqueurs and specialty spirits across the country, but appreciated that they were up against not only local producers but also top national brands. It would be fair to say that when the winner was announced as British Cassis both Donna and Laura were shocked but extremely pleased.

Managing Director Jo Hilditch added "I was so proud to win our category - a competitive shortlist of 9. It's a great testament to Laura, our Production Manager, who works so hard to ensure every batch is no less than perfect. As soon as great flavour was mentioned before the winner was announced, we knew we were in with a good chance."

This award finished off an adventurous day for Donna and Laura, who also toured top notch London bars offering tastings - quite different from their normal country office locality on the farm in Herefordshire, where our Blackcurrant Liqueur starts its humble beginnings.
